Our purpose is to create heroes, grow businesses, and change lives.
IMPACT teaches business leaders how to build high-performing teams that achieve extraordinary digital sales and marketing results through coaching, online training, and in-person experiences. We look forward to joining you on your journey to becoming a hero for your own company.
It's been awhile! A very long while! In fact, this is our first episode and post since October of last year! To say that we have missed you is an understatement, but man have we been busy!
With what, you ask? Change and lots of it!
I've been with IMPACT for almost 3 years, and we have more than doubled in size since then.
We haven't grown in the typical way an agency grows either. We are growing, simply because we need to add more value and service offerings to our clients. We needed to make sure what we are offering to our clients still makes sense and adds true value to the success of their business and their personal goals and careers.
With change, though, comes a tremendous amount of opportunity. Not only for our clients, but for us. My role with the company has changed. And Brie and Britt, who were two major staples to the show, their roles have also changed. Britt has gone on to work on things that better suit her life personally and Brie (although in this episode) is starting a leadership podcast with our COO, Chris Duprey, very soon!
So, what does that mean for MarketHER? Well, my friend and co-worker, Kate Fodera is joining me as my new co-host, which is a great opportunity for her, me, AND you all! She brings a different personality and skill set than what we previously had on our show and I cannot wait to dive in to this with her!
Another change we're making is adding a new face to our show each week. Instead of having 3 IMPACTers each week, we want, and quite frankly, need to have people joining our show who don't work here. We've realized over the last year of doing this that our job is unlike many out there, and we want to be sure that our content each and every week is relatable.
So… this is why our theme this season is OPPORTUNITY!!! We've talked about how we embrace the suck, but now we're going to be focusing on embracing opportunity! Each show will be around this topic and I know you'll love this content even more than you did before!
We also need YOU!! That's right… YOU!!!! We want to hear about how you found opportunity or saw a challenge as opportunity and ran with it.
If you're interested in being a part of this show (and don't worry, we will make you feel super comfortable, it will literally feel like your networking with us at the coolest bar in town), please submit your request via our landing page.
That's not all! We will be giving away a free copy of They Ask, You Answer, by Marcus Sheridan (one of my very favorite people) to the first person who submits a request to be a guest on our show! (And PS, we plan on giving away more prizes throughout the year)
Let's take some time to get to know Kate and to see Brie one last time as one of the lead acts and find out why we chose OPPORTUNITY as our theme for the season!!
A little from your new favorite co-host, Kate Fodera:
I'm soexcited to be a part of this podcast and even more, to be co-hosting MarkerHer with one of the most fabulously real people I know, Angela! As an employee of IMPACT for a little over two years and as a huge fan of MarketHer, I'm thrilled for the opportunity (see what I did there?) to lend my voice to such an inspiring platform.
To give you a small bit of background: I've worked at agencies ranging from 20 people or less to global agencies. I've been a part of companies who were in the start-up phase to others that have been around for decades. My experience ranges from working closely with small businesses to leading two major automotive brands internationally.
Believe me -- there are very few things that you could throw my way that I haven't at least seen.
But through all of these past experiences and lives, there is one constant -- this industry is wild. It's stressful, it's exciting, it's ever-changing, and it's fulfilling. And with the chaos, I know that sometimes it can be hard to take a moment to stop and breathe. If we don't take time to get in-touch with ourselves (and our sanity), we won't be the best versions of ourselves for our clients, our employers, our families, or our friends.
I personally feel as though there's a big opportunity in this industry to help marketers stop glamorizing busy and to start finding balance through professional and personal growth.
It's my mission through MarketHer to help you uncover how to reconnect with yourself, find inspiration in everything, and embrace the unknown -- all with a marketing lens on.
If you dedicate your time to MarketHer and to being an active part of our community, then I'll see you there with my big hair and loud energy.
