22 Stats That Show Why Your Business Should Be On Instagram [Infographic]

It’s no secret that Instagram is continuing to capture and retain new users every day.

For those of you who are new to this platform, Instagram is a mobile application that allows users to post visually captivating pictures and videos, share funny memes,  or give people a glance into their daily lives to their followers.

For businesses and marketers, this gives us an opportunity to truly portray our brands and who we really are. Whether it’s a team photo at a company picnic, an employee hard at work, or an inspirational quote to get someone through a tough day; Instagram enables us to humanize our brands, along with building social proof.

The infographic below shows us some very appealing statistics that should really entice us to be more active on this ever-growing platform.

Why Marketers Should Be Active On Instagram

Before we jump into this infographic, let's take a look at some of the bigger stats that really stood out to me.

One stat that you will see below is that Instagram has 500 active monthly users and 300 million of them are daily!

Last year, Twitter only accounted for 300 million monthly users (still a lot of users) but this shows us that we should diversify our social media presence and not limit yourself to just Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Of these active users, this infographic tells us that it has 77 million users in the U.S. and it's expected to reach 100 million by 2018!

Looks like this app is here to stay and will continue to grow its user base and engagement.

Now that you have my take on why we should start marketing on this growing platform, take a look at the other statistics compiled in this infographic that might convince you to start using Instagram.
