"If You're a Bird, I'm a Bird" Personality Types w/Brie & Britt [MarketHer Ep. 36]

DiSC, Meyer-Briggs, Enneagram, and now DOPE.

Here at MarketHer, we love personality tests as they help us not only know ourselves better but more importantly, help us understand the people we work with every day. 

During the leadership program, I took through my local chamber, I was introduced to the DOPE personality profile. Clearly, Each letter of DOPE stands for a bird and each bird has a specific set of traits correlating to a way of communication:

Dove
Owl
Peacock
Eagle

To learn your bird type, take this online quiz (takes less than 5 minutes) and you'll be presented with a percentage breakdown of your bird type. 

I loved what I learned about myself while doing this with my leadership group so much that I thought it would be a great idea to bring it to our entire client services team here at IMPACT.

So, we did! 

Last Monday, we all took the test and then met together to discuss how each other communicated.

It was great to see the similar communicators identify with each other and even more fun to watch opposites attract as the entire team learned a new way to approach their co-workers. 

In this week's episode, Britt and I chat about what type of birds we are, how our communication styles tend to reveal themselves, and what it was like learning about each other's preferred method of communication.
