Where to submit press releases

 

Press releases can be used to promote your business and website, announcing everything from new products and services to special events and personnel announcements. Once you’ve written your press release you must submit it to news and media sources that will publish it.


If you’re promoting a local business, small local newspapers are eager for news so you should submit your press release there. Send it directly to the editor and call to insure it has been received and will receive coverage. You may be interviewed for a story, so be ready to field questions.


If you’re promoting a national business, you can utilize prweb.com, betanews.com, usnewswire.com and other sites, which publish new press releases daily. These sites distribute press releases to Google News and numerous search engines. Here is a list of 50 free press release submission websites.


If you’re promoting a website, you can write an SEO press release that can be sent to some of the free press release sites. The goal of an SEO press release is to gain premiere search results at Google and other search engines. An SEO press release can include video, images and text links and should be written around the keyword term that most closely relates to your site.
