6 Tips for Getting Customers to Use Your Custom Mobile App [Infographic]

As more and more consumers begin to rely on their mobile devices instead of traditional desktop computers for personal and professional use, the need for a mobile presence is exploding.

With 2016 being dubbed the Year of the Mobile, small businesses without a responsive design or mobile app planned for the future will only continue to fall farther and farther behind their competition.

While mobile responsive designs or mobile sites are popular solutions to this problem, custom mobile apps can offer more complex functionality and a unique, enhanced experience to your business' customers.

Even if you already have a mobile app, however, it’s unlikely to gain traction on its own.

Like a piece of new content, your small business needs to market its custom mobile app to make sure people actually use it.

This is business, not Field of Dreams.  “If you build it, they will come,” is for fictitious baseball angels, not the app market.

To get your app out there, you have to compete and optimize it to get found.

Regardless of how great your app is, without a solid marketing plan, your app will not get into the hands of those who will benefit from it. That means it won’t help your business grow and profit.

In the infographic below, you’ll find some tips from the experts at Biziness Apps on how to market your app and get noticed by your audience.

First of all, you have to start by knowing your audience.  Without knowing who to market to, your marketing plan will be weak.  Cast your net across your audience.

Then, find the right keywords to use in your description so that your app will get discovered.

Remember, trust is key, and an online presence builds trust. So next, build a landing page and write some blog posts to show your customers that you are an expert in your field.

Additionally, schedule your launch.  Use social media to tell people what you are doing.  When you launch, blow up your social media feeds with information about how people are benefitting from what you did.

Make sure you listen to the feedback that comes from those people who download your app.  They are the ones you built the app for, so see what they like and dislike about it.  Then, consider their suggestions.

Lastly, create a video that shows off how awesome your app is. There’s no need to be humble—brag about your app. After all, you invested a lot into it, don’t be shy showing it off.

Regardless of how great your app is, without a solid marketing plan, your app will not get into the hands of those who will benefit from it. That means it won’t help your business grow and profit.
