Joshua Feinberg

Growing up in the 1980s in New Jersey, Joshua's first job -- as a newspaper carrier for the Star Ledger -- gave him his first taste of using persuasive copywriting and product marketing to sell new subscriptions, upsell existing subscribers to higher service levels, and force deadbeat subscribers to either pay up or lose service. By middle school, Joshua was using his copywriting to book piano-playing gigs at local restaurants and hotels. By the time he was a freshman at Rutgers, while a campus rep for IBM, Joshua was creating thought leadership content to close sales faster and build lucrative co-marketing partnerships. So it was no surprise that by the late 1990s Microsoft had taken notice of Joshua's talents for solving SMB marketing and sales problems with content -- and contracted with him for two years of bi-weekly, globally-syndicated sales enablement content and a first-of-its-kind channel program playbook for SMB partners, published by Microsoft Press. Today as a HubSpot Accredited Trainer, HubSpot User Group Leader, and HubSpot Certified Partner, Joshua helps companies use thought leadership content to differentiate, attract great-fit clients, and grow their revenue.

Preston Bowman

In the late 80’s, while still in high-school, Preston Bowman had the incredible opportunity to manage a radio station. This experience was “business boot camp” and lay the groundwork for his love of business and marketing.  In 2001, after years in the technical consulting field, Preston Bowman started his company, providing Digital Marketing and Application Development.  Stone Creek’s team has had the privilege of working with some impressive clientele, including Sprint, The Coleman Company, Oster, H&R Block, just to name a few. Stone Creek became a HubSpot partner in 2010 and has found a niche supporting other HubSpot Agencies as they serve their clients.  Preston Bowman has been speaking publicly on professional topics since High School and is thrilled to be in the first "class" of HubSpot Accredited Trainers. Preston recently joined the team at MarketingXchange as Vice President of Operations.

Google Calendar - HubSpot CRM Integration

Everyone’s favorite Calendar app, Google calendar, now integrates directly with the HubSpot CRM. Allowing CRM users to create Google Calendar meetings right from the CRM and automatically capturing GCal meetings with contacts in the CRM.

Once the connection is active, all meetings scheduled in Google Calendar with contacts who are also in your CRM, will automatically get logged, with the exception of contacts that have the same email domain as you, like @HubSpot. You can also create meetings directly from the CRM, see the example below.

Support Inbox & Redesigned Help Widget

Support Inbox is an in-app tool that gives HubSpot users a history of their web and callback tickets with the support team.

With Support Inbox, customers will be able to:

  • Check on the status of their tickets
  • Search and browse past tickets to see how they got resolved
  • See a history of past interactions with support rep and continue in progress conversations
  • Close tickets when they are happy with the answer they have receive

The Help Widget has historically been used to search for Knowledge Base articles and get in touch with support.

With the new redesign comes the ability to:

  • View full Knowledge Base articles, projects, videos, and training without leaving the screen in HubSpot
  • Get notified when Support has responded to their question

Check out the updated help article here.

To access Support Inbox, click on the Help widget at the bottom right hand corner of any app within HubSpot.

help_widget-1

From there, you can search the entire HubSpot knowledge base, ask for personal help via a web ticket, get a call back from the support team, or jump straight in to see a history of your Support tickets.

help_widget_2

If you click on Contact Support, you will have the choice to ask support to call you or email you. For the first time you also have the option to upload any screenshots or attachments with your question. You can also access these options once you are in Support Inbox.

To search the Knowledge Base, enter your query on the initial page and view results without leaving the screen in the product. You can easily expand the Knowledge base article or open it in a new tab.

To view your history of interactions with Support, click on “View your support inbox.” Within Support Inbox you can manage all of your support tickets, check on a ticket’s status, view and reply to answers you have already received on your questions, and close tickets when you are happy with the results. Administrators will have the extra feature of being able to view not only tickets they have submitted to HubSpot support but also any queries that their team may have. And if an old issue reappears, you can just reopen the original ticket with your follow-up questions. When a support rep responds, you will be notified with the answer to your query immediately in-app as well as via email.

Stormtrooper Training - HubSpot Tips & Tricks

Smart content in new editor

In the new content editor there is a limitation on how you can use smart content. If there is, for example, a semi-transparent module overlaying the module you want to be smart you aren't able to access the smart settings as you aren't able to hover over the module in question.

This is also the case if you are using an image in a rich text module to set a background image. There are no issues with this in the old content editor as you can access the smart setting in the interface on the left side. So, my "idea" is to have the ability to access the smart settings in the module toolbar as well as by hovering over the module in the preview pane.
