Social Inbox is going to help you use social media more effectively by allowing you to publish updates, monitor social media engagement, and measure reach all in one app.

This all-in-one social media tool will be available to all HubSpot users in June.

What is Social Inbox?

An important part of inbound marketing is being active on social media. Social media can help your company with lead generation and connect you to potential customers.

That's why HubSpot created Social Inbox.

Social Inbox is going to merge your contact database of leads, opportunities, and customers with their social media interactions. This means that Social Inbox will know your history and relationship with anyone who interacts with you on social media. It will be able to tell you if they are a lead or a customer.

You might be wondering how can Social Inbox help you be more personal? Mike Volpe, former Chief Marketing Officer of HubSpot, "when you know who someone is, you can treat them the way you should be treating them."

1. It Knows Your Interaction History

Social Inbox merges with your contact database and will find your history with someone on social media based on their e-mail address. You will know how they have interacted with your company in the past and whether they are a lead or a customer.

2. Measures Your ROI on Social Media

Since your social data will now be integrated into your marketing analytics, Social Inbox will be able to tell you how many leads and customers came from social media.

3. A More Personal Way to Communicate

1. Custom Notifications

With Social Inbox, you can set up custom notifications to alert you when your company is mentioned on social media. It takes data from both social media and your contacts to tell you when a prospect with a high lead score mentions you. You can then see the lead's profile right there which includes their past interactions and their behavior on your website. Social Inbox can also send you notifications when one of your opportunities mentions a competitor. Customer service can be notified when current customers asks for help so you can be sure that you are always keeping your customer satisfied.

2. Segment Your Contacts

Social Inbox separates your contacts and makes it easy to view their profiles. You will see people who mention you and be able to quickly learn some information about them to decide if they are a prospect. For leads and customers, you will see their interactions with your company or how long they've worked with you.
